Register Five Democrats for 2008.

Our sole reason for existence at Register Five Democrats (RFD) is to get Democratic candidates elected to office for the upcoming 2008 Presidential Election. In order to attain this end, we at RFD intend to register as many progressive voters as is humanly possible for this election. There are five levels of RFD membership:

Blue Member's Level:: • a person who registers 5 voters.

True Blue Member's Level:: • a person who registers 25 voters.

Silver Member's Level:: • a person who registers 25 voters and 5 Blue RFD Members.

Gold Member's Level:: • a person who registers 125 voters and 5 Blue RFD Members.

Platinum Member's Level:: • a person who registers 625 voters and 5 True Blue RFD Members.

Each level of RFD membership bestows unique rewards to its members -- both for registering a specific number of people to vote and for recruiting a specific number of new RFD members. The rewards for each Register Five Democrats membership level become increasingly more special and esteemed the higher up one rises in the RFD membership hierarchy.

It is a fact that about thirty percent of Americans who are eligible to vote are not even registered to vote. Thirty! And an overwhelmingly large majority of these would-be voters favors the Democratic Party. We Democrats must maintain the momentum we gained from our victories in the 2006 midterm elections. We Democrats are the majority political party in America -- yet our party still needs to get stronger and more organized. We must not rest on our laurels. We need to get more people registered to vote!
